Technological crime are crimes that involve the use of information and communications technology (ICT) such as the internet and social media. They’re also known as cybercrimes or e crimes.

When the victim has a large profile online: bullying and hate crimes have a high level of awareness. Cyber fraud and financial crimes often have a low level. Campaigns from the police, government and individuals help raise awareness

77% of women who have experienced cyber harass among have also experience at least one form of sexual assault from a partner. 70% of women who have experienced cyber stalking have also experienced at least one form of sexual or physical violence. Women are more likely to be victims as they’re more vulnerable and have more pressure due to social media

The twitter accounts of multiple high profile figure were hacked in a bitcoins fraud including Barack Obama, Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, Kim Kardashian, there were over 30 victims.
