DSM-4 Criteria for Dx Major Depression

A
Need 5/8 symptoms for at least 2-weeks. Symptoms must include Depressed Mood or Anhedonia (interest). No history of hypomanic or manic.

Note: Can have major depression with psychotic features

A

  • no social/functional impairment
