  2. Prolongs mood lightening effect
  3. Used for Major Depression

  1. Can Cause suicidal thoughts
  2. CNS Stimulation (Agitation, Insomnia, anxiety may occur)
  3. Sexual dysfunction
  4. Weight loss (early therapy) followed by weight gain (late)
  5. Serotonin Syndrome (2-72 hrs after start of treatment)

  2. Continue therapy after improvement of manifestations
    - Sudden discontinuation can cause relapse
  3. Med can increase suicide risk during initial treatment
    - usually seen in clients under 25 years old
