- Clients w/ depression have unexpressed and unconscious anger about feeling helpless or dependent on others
- Client cannot express anger towards cause so it turns inward
- Anger begins in childhood when basic developmental needs are not met

- Disturbance in Cognition (attention, memory, thinking)
- Impulse control (suicide, homicide)

- Physical symptoms (headache, stomachage, muscle tension)
