-Farming: Drip Irrigation system to conserve water.
-Mineral Extraction: Gold and silver mining, providing jobs for 3000 workers.

What are the challenges here?

A

Tourism: -High temperature and low rainfall means that water supplies limited. Petrol and fuel prices highly affected.
Energy: requires 45 miles of new road. -Transmission lines have to be cooled with water.
Farming: pumping water through canals is expensive.
Mineral Extraction: high temperatures cause machinery to overheat. Steep relief makes food infrastructure links hard.
