Module7 Flashcards
Angles in the same plane that have a common vertex and a common side
Adjacent angles
An angle that measures greater than 0 degrees and less than 90 degrees
Acute angle
For two lines intersect by a transversal, a pair of congruent angles that lie in opposite sides of the transversal and outside the other two lines
Alternative exterior angles
For two lines intersected, a pair of no adjacent congruent angles that lie on opposite sides of the transversal and between the other 2 sides
Alternative interior angles
A figured formed by 2 rays with a common endpoint called the vertex
Angle
Two angles whose measures have a sum of 90 degrees
Complementary angles
Having the same size and shape; the symbol for congruent is=
Congruent
For 2 lines intersected by a transversal, a pair of angles that lie on the same side of the transversal and on the same sides of the other 2 lines
Corresponding angles
An angle formed by one side of a polygon and the extension of an adjacent side
Exterior angles
Angles on the inner sides of two lines cut by a transversal
Interior angles
An angle whose measure is greater than 90 degrees but less than 180 degrees
Obtuse angle
Lines in a plane that do not intersect
Parallel lines
A part of a line that starts at one endpoint and extends forever in one direction
Ray
A interior angle o a polygon that is not adjacent to the exterior angle
Remote interior angles
A pair of angles on the same side of a transversal and between 2 lines intersected by the transversal
Same side interior angles
