what is the function of the lymphatic system?
it reduces, balances and cleans tissue fluid that is surrounding the cell.
name the 2 things that the lymphatic system consists of

what is lymph and its function?
a colourless fluid that is formed in body tissues from tissue fluid. it also serves as the transporting medium.
what is tissue fluid/how is it formed?
it is formed when plasma is orced out of blood capillaries.
what are lymphatic vessels and their function?
they are vessels that have valves that prevent the backflow of low pressure lymph and oval-shaped swellings along their length
what are lymph nodes and what do they do?
a part of the lymph vessel that forms clusters in various parts of the body, i.e. the neck, armpits and groin. when they swell they are painful which means that part of the body is fighting infections.
