Preference Theory

A

in which women increasingly follow their personal preferences without being stigmatized. Their decisions affect their desire to have children. This theory rose from the idea of the mid1960s onwards, contraceptives gave women more independent control over their own lives. Since then women have been able to choose between career and motherhood or a combination of both.
