What is the purpose of the helping verb い
る added after the て form of the verb?
PRESENT PROGRESSIVE FORM (て FORM + います)
The て form of the verb followed by the helping verb い
る (or います, the polite form) conveys that an action is in progress or someone/something is in
a certain state of being.

What is the purpose of adding から after a て verb?
~てから
To make more clear the order of actions being done
~てから is 1st action
