In the context of infectious disease, detail why the health care environment is a point of particular concern compared to from the community environment.
The healthcare environment (Hospitals, GPs therapy clinics, nursing homes etc) have a high concentration of vulnerable and/or infected persons. There is repeated contact with equipment, carers and staff facilitating various transmission events. Further, the healthcare environment is a reservoir of non-typical highly resistant pathogens that are not usually encountered in community settings.
