Why is speaking English important to students?

A

Speaking is a fundamental part of learning a language and can be one of the skills students struggle with the most.

Q

Why is writing in English important to students?

A

Writing skills are often one of the lesser “desired” skills, but that doesn’t make them any less important to learn.

It is very important for learners to be able to express themselves effectively in the written form with good spelling, punctuation, and language ability.

Writing is very important for students who are studying to pass an exam and need to be able to write essays, reports, articles, and more.

It is also important for business learners who often wish to focus more effectively on their written communication skills for emails, business correspondence, and reports.

Q

What is accuracy and fluency?

A

Accuracy is producing grammatically correct conversation or writing, using the appropriate vocabulary, and with accurate punctuation.

Fluency is being able to converse or write without hesitation, while still being able to convey your meaning clearly. There may be inaccuracies in grammar or vocabulary but the intended meaning is not lost.
