Q

Whats the definition of displacement ?

A

It’s how far an object has traveled from its starting point in a given direction

  • basically it’s the distance from point A to point B with a direction - so for e.g. 20m north

Q

How do you calculate the average speed during a journey ?

A

It’s simple :

It’s just the total distance covered during the journey over the total time elapsed

So:

Total distance / total time

Q

What are the four main equations that you need to solve questions involving uniform acceleration

A

v = u + at

s = ( u + v ) / 2 x t

s = ut + 1/2at*2

v2 = u2 + 2as
