How to enter the darknet?

TOR stands for The Onion Router. Works for Realnet and Darknet. Hides your locations while browsing websites (layered location of the origin)

How to search the darknet?

• Hidden Wiki (landing page. no search engine on darknet). Darknet URLs “.onion.” make it difficult to index —> change regularly. For websites, you need to know the URL! Put your website on launch page like Hidden Wiki (also honey pots!!)
• Torch: can be used to do searches
• Dark.fail (via realnet): list of the websites that are online. Use new tor circuit when browsing for it on darknet
• Reddit is accessible through Tor.
• Dread – DarkNet version of Reddit (not run by Reddit)
• The People’s Drug Store: vendor. You are entrusting the vendor when transacting. They transact on your behalf.

Payment methods (requires a lot of trust!)

• Escrow: a third party manages (marketplace) the payments between a seller and buyer
• Direct Deal/Finalise Early (FE): payment upfront, no marketplace involved (most reputable vendors, low change of scam)
• Multisig: two or three parties to agree payment. Eliminates risk of exit scam
