13
Q

What is etiolation?

A
  • Growth of shoots with little or no light
  • Stem tissue is more likely to develop roots if grown in the dark
  • Theory is that in the stem you have hormone called auxin which is broken down by light. So, if you have a stem that’s been growing in the darkness you have more active auxin in stem.
