The study of how we ought to live. The discipline dealing with what is good and bad and with moral duty and obligation.
What are some functions of professional ethics?
Guidance, standards for professional work, safeguard interests of clients, preserve public trust of professionals, etc

What is ethical sensitivity?
Identifying who may be affected by your decision
What are limitations to the code of ethics?
Application to specific scenarios is limited, professions change rapidly, focus too much on minor issues, not a cookbook for responsible behavior
What is self-awareness?
Considering own personal bias and personal interest
What is an ethical dilemma?
A situation that requires ethical decision, but the professional is required to perform two or more mutually exclusive actions
What are the common ethical principles?
Justice, autonomy, non-maleficence, beneficence, fidelity, veracity
Which ethical principle is concerned with fulfilling ones trust?
Fidelity
Which ethical principle is concerned with allowing one to make a personal choice?
Autonomy
