- feelings of lack of control when binging behaviour is present
- binge eating and compensatory behaviors occur on average at least once a week for 3 months
what are the key characteristics of binge-eating disorder
- recurrent episodes of binge eating but absence of compensatory behaviours to get rid of calories
- binge eating episodes are associated are associated with at least 3 of the 5 symptoms

a feeding disorder that involves eating non-food substances
what is rumination disorder
a feeding disorder that involves repeatedly regurgitating food

similar to anorexia nervosa BUT individuals do not perceive themselves as fat
what is atypical anorexia nervosa
meets criteria for AN but weight is within or above normal range
what is purging disorder
recurrent purging behaviour to influence weight or shape, in the absence of binge-eating
what is night eating syndrome
recurrent episodes of night eating (awakening from sleep or after dinner)

all criteria for bulimia nervosa is met but the duration is not met
what is binge-eating disorder of low frequency
