Module 1: Anatomy review Flashcards
cranial vs caudal
crain = head ways caud = tail ways
medial vs lateral
med = mid line lateral = side
superior vs inferior
sup = up inf = down
proximal vs distal
prox = closer to main bod dist = farther from main bod
transverse plane
i will saw my assistant in half, that kinda cut
sup v inf
frontal plane
parallel w collarbones
anterior vs posterior
sagittal plane
parallel w hair part
L v R
superficial v deep
super = more sufacey deep = deep

grading resisted ROM 5-0 describe
5 - complete ROM w/ g and max R
4 - complete ROM w/ g and moderate R
3 - complete ROM w/ g (no R)
2 - complete ROM w/out g (no g, no R)
1 - no movement, but muscle contraction :. neural drive (no ROM, no g, no R)
0 - no move, no contraction (no neural, no ROM, no g, no R)
flexibility mechanoreceptors
muscle spindles - sensory info to CNS & excite contraction
golgi tendon organs - tendomuscular junction & inhib contraction
ADD MORE types of muscle actions
isometric -
isotonic -
isokinetic -
