Module 1 Flashcards
OPTM
a systematic way to address each indiviudls that has 5 phases split among 3 levels
Level 1
Stabilization, Phase 1 stabilization - endurance Goals being 1. Muscular endurance 2. Joint Stability 3. Flexibility 4. Control of posture 5. Overall movement efficiency Training in an unstable yet controlable enviorment with low loads and high repetitons
Strength phase 1
Strenght endurance designed to enhance stabilizaiton endunce while increasing prime mover strength.
Improve overall work capacity, joint stablization, and increase lean body mass.
Strenght phase 2
Hypertophy is used for maximal muscle growth can be achieved with high volume of moderate to high loads and moderate to low repetions
Strength phase 3
Maximal strenght desinged to see how much force a mucsle can produce down by high loads low repatitons and long rest periords
Power Phase
Emphaszed to devolped speed and power goals are to enhance prime mover stregnth and rate of force production this is functional movemnts at its finest
