Proper Setting?
A
Lighting - lots of natural light or incandescent light. Avoid fluorescent light. White paper or white background.
Noise - quiet and free of distractions.
Odors - colognes, perfumes, garlic and strong scents can be confusing.
First taste whites to reds, dry to sweet.
Six to eight wines are optimal for tasting at once.
Taste then spit.
