module 1 Flashcards
discuss why the 10/20 system is needed,
name the unit of measure used in the 10/20 system,
state the first step in the 10/20 system,
name the four lobes of the brain and what electrodes are over what lobe (including electrodes over the center of the head)
explain the 10/20 system’s use of zero (z), even & odd numbers,
label the entire head stamp with 24 (A1/A2/ground/NPs) electrode names (as they are stated in the Baydoun handout, NOT how they are labeled at your clinical site),
name the four landmarks and their nicknames
list the eight steps to measuring a head, and the measurements (10%/20%/25%/50%…) used to find them (know the proper units of measure for each step (millimeters or centimeters)), and state which electrodes sites are crossed without measuring,
when given a measurement between two electrode sites, be able to work the math backwards to figure out the total measurement for that row
list reasons why we sometimes cannot measure,
discuss the modified 10/20 system, when it is used, why & how electrodes are moved, where to document it and how small an infant’s head is to use the modified system,
name two measured points that are used strictly for references & not electrode positions,
name the recording site used when A1 & A2 are unable to be applied and
describe the procedure for finding T1 and T2.
