history because they provide a concrete basis
for the prevailing ideas of the times and can be used
to validate the existing realities.
Material Culture
– includes all intangible parts of culture, which
consists of values, norms, laws, sanctions and knowledge among others.
Non-material Culture
a process of accommodating desirable traits from other culture
through acculturation, assimilation, amalgamation, enculturation, colonization and
revolutionary movement.
Cultural Diffusion
the loss of cultural beliefs and practices tied with the changing times.
Deculturation
is a behavioral science that deals with the study of society
Sociology
is a group of people living together in a definite territory and sharing a
common culture
Society
a set of actions performed by individuals of the same species
when they interact with each other.
Social Behaviour
the behaviors that are considered acceptable in a group or
society.
Societal Norms
a statement or an approach that attempts to explain why certain things are the way they are. For this lesson, this shall cover the explanations focused on
society and the interaction processes taking place therein.
