What is a Sub Modality?
Each major representational system has a number of subsets called Sub Modalities, which is how we encode and give meaning to our Internal Representations. Sub Modalities are the fine tuning of Internal Representation.
Sub Modality Examples: Contrastive Analysis, Mapping Across, Swish Patterns

What is the relationship of Strategies to Sub Modalities?
A strategy is a sequence of representations leading to a specific outcome.
The Sub Modalities are the fine structure of each of the representations used in the strategy.
Sub Modalities are at a more specific level than strategies
What is Mapping Across and Contrastive Analysis?
Contrastive Analysis = Eliciting Sub Modalities at two different times or for two different events and looking for the difference in Sub Modalities
Mapping Across = Moving Sub Modalities from one experience to the Sub Modalities of another experience
What are the two major elements in successful Sub Modality interventions?
[Elicitation of a universal experience to provide the energy (eg. Sun comes up)]
1. Elicitation of the Drivers - the critical sub Modalities (the difference that makes the difference)
2. Thresholds
