What is an engineering tolerance?
It is the upper limit minus the lower limit.
What is meant by a clearence fit?
This is an assembly in which there is space between two parts.
The shaft is always smaller than the part it fits into.
What are the classes of fit and their uses?
Class 1 - Loose fit
Class 2 - Free Fit (Screws)
Class 3 - Medium FIt (Bolts)
Class 4 - Close fit
What are 3 types of fit in engineering practices?
