Messiah
A royal title for Jesus of Nazareth that declares his fulfillment of God’s promise to save and restore his people. (From Hebrew word “anointed one”)
Septuagint
The earliest known Greek translation of the Old Testament (from a Latin word meaning “seventy”, named after the approximate number of scribes believed to have begun its production)
Canon
Literally a standard or ruler to measure, often applied to the ancient books that make up the Old Testament and New Testament
Manuscript
A medium containing original, copied, or translations of ancient text.

A designation of the era before the time of Christ Jesus.
BCE
A designation of time that means “before the common era”
