A
Assessment of lung function by measuring the volume of air that the patient can expel from a max inspiration

What population groups fall within the criteria for a Spirometry test?
A
Current smokers/ex-smokers >40 yrs and answer yes to one of the following questions:
- Do you cough regularly?
- Do you bring up phlegm regularly?
- Do even simple chores make you short of breath
- Do you wheeze when you exert yourself, or at night?
- Do you get frequent colds that persist longer than those of other people you know?
