Different types of Fronts.
Cold Front
Warm Front
Stationary Front
Occluded Front
Cold fronts bring the worst weather.
Types of fog and how they form.
Radiation Fog: As the surface cools, the adjacent air is cooled to its dew point.
Advection Fog: Occurs when a low layer of warm moist air moves over a cooler surface.
Upslope Fog: Forms when moist stable air is forced up a sloping land mass to a level where the air becomes saturated and condensation occurs. Requires wind for formation.
Steam Fog: As cold dry air moves over a warm body of water it quickly becomes saturated and the moisture condenses.
Ice fog: Essentially just radiation fog but made up of ice crystals.
