SimplePractice supports only the two most recent releases of iOS. Apple does not support all devices in each release of iOS and will periodically discontinue support for older devices. Accordingly, SimplePractice also discontinues support for older devices

Do we recommend a note dictation app or feature?

A

No. Our mobile app is HIPAA compliant, but in order to vocally dictate through your phone, it uses the phone’s built-in dictation feature which we cannot guarantee is HIPAA compliant. We also do not have an integration with the iOS or Android dictation features.

Customers may ask for alternative note dictation apps, but we do not endorse any other applications - especially when asked to speak on their HIPAA compliance. This also goes for any 3rd party features. However, we can direct customers to ask the SimplePractice Community for recommendations instead.

Troubleshooting mobile app

A

Sync the SimplePractice for Clinicians mobile app
Navigate to the App Store (iOS)/ Google Play Store (Android) and download any available updates
Delete and re-download the app
