What is NPI?
Abbreviation for National Provider Identifier. The NPI is a unique identification number for covered health care providers. NPIs are always a 10 digit number that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) assigns.
What is a taxonomy code
A taxonomy code is a unique 10 character alphanumeric number that enables you to identify your specialty (i.e., Speech-Language Pathologist or Physical Therapist) to an insurance payer. A counselor has a different taxonomy code than a dietitian. This information is necessary for claims to be processed.
Who has access to business files in a group practice?
In a group practice, only the account owner and practice manager have the ability to upload documents to this page. However, an account owner does have the ability to grant access to this page and specific documents to team members
Cancelled account and exported files
We highly recommend that customers open their exported files before moving forward
This is because once an account is cancelled, the data is also completely deleted from our database after 30 days
What is managed billing?
Managed billing is a service for customers that are processing $100k or more in claims a year
What integrated online payment tool do we use and at what percent?
Stripe – The fee for using our Online Payments processor is 3.15% + $0.30 for each successful transaction
Services vs Products
Services are billable appointments whereas products are things like books, workshops, consulting, etc
