Children in the UK receive 2 doses of the MMR vaccine, when do they receive these?
A
12 to 15 months and 3-4 years.

What are some contraindications to the MMR?
A
- Severe immunosuppression
- Allergy to neomycin
- Children who have received another live vaccine by injection within 4 weeks
- Pregnancy should be avoided for at least 1 month following vaccination
- Immunoglobulin therapy within the past 3 months (there may be no immune response to the measles vaccine if antibodies are present)

What are some adverse effects of the MMR vaccine, when do they occur and how long do they last?
A
- Usually with the first dose of MMR.
- Malaise, Fever and Rash - Occurs at 5 to 10 days and lasts 2-3 days.
