A

A Change is a deletion, alteration, or addition that the Owner wants to effect
If addition or alteration, it must be
- of a similar nature
- within place of work or immediately adjacent

If it does not meet above criteria, then it is Extra Work

A

Change
- mandatory for Contractor to comply and Owner to issue to Contractor
- Change order must be issued
- Payment negotiated or falls back to Force act

Extra Work
- Optional for both parties
- Contractor does not have to provide quote
- Owner can deal with others
- If awarded to Contractor, Change Order must be issued
- If others, Contractor mus co-ordinate
