Mitosis? More like Mybrainisdeadis Flashcards
What is interphase
Stage when cells carry out the functions for the body. Also preps cell for reproduction. Longest stage in cell’s life
What is mitosis
Divides the dupilicated contents of cells nucleus.
Explain cytokinesis
Seperates the nuclei and cell contents into 2 daughter cells
Explain early phopase
Chromosones coil up into x chromosomes that are attached by a centrpometre. Nucleos dissapears, nuclear membrame breaks down, and spindle fibres form. Centrioles will also form to control S fibres.
Explain late phopase
Spindle fibres are done forming and chromosones attach themselves at there centomeres
Explain metaphase
Spindle fibres tugg the chromosones to form a equator in cell
Explain anapahse
S fibres contract causing the centometre to spilt taking the chromosones with it. Centrioles are also considered to be “south/north poles since they are now at opposite end of each other
Explain telophase
One set of chromosones are at each “pole” of cell. Spindle fibre is gone, nuclear membrame forms around chromosones. Nucleos apears in each nucleus, and cell is ready to divide.
What are the 2 spilt cells called?
Daughter cells
What happens when animal cell splits
Memebrame pinches itself, and cytoplasm divides
What happens when plant cell splits
Cell plate will form to split them and to aslo make new cell membrame and wall.
