Metaphase characteristics
Chromosomes line up, chromatids separate at the centromere and start to migrate
Anaphase characteristics
Chromosomes migrate to opposite poles pulled by microtubles of spindle fibers
Telophase characteristics
Chromosomes at poles, begin uncoiling, cytokinesis occurs, spindle disappears, nuclear membrane/nucleolus reappear
