Q

What happens in metaphase?

A
  • Spindle fibres attach to chromosomes
  • chromosomes are pulled to the centre and put in a line (mitosis)(meiosis involves a double line during the first cycle)

Q

What happens in telophase (mitosis)?

A
  • chromosomes group at opposing sides
  • chromatids separate, becoming their own chromosomes
  • DNA uncoils
  • nuclear membrane forms
  • cytokinesis occurs
