Military Style semi-automatic firearm means?
a) semi-auto firearm has 1 or more features:
i - folding or telescopic butt
ii - a magazine designed to hold .22 rimfire cartridges
(A) that is capable of holding more than 15 or
(B) detachable by appearance indicates to hold
more than 15 cartridges.
iii - Any magazine other than .22 rimfire can hold 7 cartridges or
- any magazine in its appearance that is capable of holding 10 cartridges.
iv) - telescopic or adjustable butt
v) - bayonet lugs
vi) - flash suppressor
vii) - defined under s74A as a pistol grip or
b) make and model under s74A
c) of a description under s74A
d) feature of a kind defined or described under s74A
Pistol?
Firearm that is designed or adapted to be held and fired with one hand; and includes any firearm that is less than 762mm in length.
Section 2 - Arms Act 1983
Restricted Weapon?
Means any weapon, whether firearm or not is declared by the Governor General, by Order in Council made under section 4 of this Act to be a restricted weapon.
Means any weapon whether firearm or not that is declared by the Governor General by Order of Council made under section 4 of this Act to be a restricted weapon.
Occupier or driver deemed to be in possession?
Section 66, Arms Act 1983 - is deemed to be in possession if that person is the driver, owner or the property of which it is found in unless he can prove it is in possession of someone else.
Pistol?
Pistol means any firearm designed or adapted to be held in one hand, and includes any firearm less than 762mm in length.
Presumption to be deemed as being in possession?
Section 66 outlines that a person is deemed to be in possession if the firearm or any weapon is found in their property unless it is proven to be someone else.
Specifically Dangerous Airgun?
means any airgun declared by GG by Order of Council under section 4 of s74A to be a specifically dangerous airgun.
Specified pre-charged pneumatic air rifles
Clause 1A Arms Order 1984
means p/a/r that are not airsoft or paintball sports.
Presumption to be deemed as being in possession?
Section 66 outlines that a person is deemed to be in possession if the firearm or any weapon is found in their property unless it is proven to be someone else.
