What is Coat’s disease?

A

Retinal telangiectasia (Coats disease, Lebers miliary aneurysms) is defined by the presence of an exudative retinal detachment with associated vascular anomalies.

This condition is not hereditary and is not associated with systemic vascular abnormalities. Usually, only one eye is involved, and men are predominantly affected (85%).
