- twin pregnancies
- women with diabetes
- abnormality of fetal digestive system - won’t take in amniotic fluid.
What are the risks of polyhydramnious?
- PROM
- unlikely to engage
- cord prolapse
What are reasons for oligohydramnious?
- placenta or membranes are not functioning properly
- PROM
- problems with fetal kidneys

12-15 breaths per minute

Minimum pressure of blood against the wall of the artery following closure of aortic valve.
90+ is high; risk of stroke or heard attack

4 out of 10 fit in post-natal period.
How to measure Man Arterial Pressure (MAP)?
2xdiastolic + systolic / 3
below 65 mmHg - poor perfusion
above 100 mmHg - signifies hypertension
