What is the difference between LVO and LVP?
LVO what the airline do. LVP what the airport authorities do.
What is required to perform LVO?
Both pilots qualified and current.
CM1 will be PF
Aircraft serviceable, equipped iaw FCOM/QRH
LVP in force
Met conditions for LVP
Ceiling below 200 ft and/or RVR below 550 meters
Criteria for TO ALTN
Distance equivalent to a FT of 1 hr at SE cruise spd from departure airport.
Wx at ETA must above PA 600 ft ceiling 3 km visibility, NPA 800 ft / 5km
Criteria for DEST
Wx ETA +/- 1 hr at above operating minimum. If below minimum, at 2 destination alternate with wx above minimum, same as TO minimum
Flight planning considerations:
Aircraft technical status MEL, etc complied with required items for Cat 2 and 3 operations.
RVR required for Cat 2/3
LVO is a take off in a runway with RVR of less than ________.
400 meters
Special training and authorization are required for TO in less than _____ RVR.
150 meters
For LVTO, us of TOGA or Flex is a the discretion of PIC. True or False.
