Question 1

Vac Trucks

Answer 1

• Create static electricity
• Should be grounded
• Should be bonded, if applicable
• They are loud, having hearing protection and suggest it to others
• Exhaust from the vacuum is the highest exposure risk (keep people out of it)
• Avoid walking across active or pressurized lines (vac trucks and transfers)

We are not there to help vac driver – hook up etc. ONLY to monitor

Most time vac trucks are sucking up a flammable liquid.

Question 2

Roll Off Boxes

Answer 2

• Avoid being near loading and unloading from truck
• Chemical hazard if sealed w/impacted materials – headspaces
• Straps can be under extreme tension, use caution when manipulating

Question 3

Excavators

Answer 3

• Do NOT cross until they see you
• Keep a safe distance – reach of arm and ½
• If moving around them – make eye contact and/or have a spotter
• A common significant exposure is in cabs, if one is operating unmonitored inform PM

Question 4

Hot Work

Answer 4

• Welding, cutting, brazing, soldering, grinding
• Air monitoring in this area is important!
  We do not authorize hot work!
