When does Hold Over time starts?
At beginning of fluid application for a single step application.
At the beginning of second step for a 2 step process
What fluid would you use for anti icing?
Type II and IV. They have longer hold over times and higher viscosity
What is a pre take off contamination check?
Do it when HOT is exceeded and pre TO check isn’t sufficient. It is performed from outside of the A/c
Do you have HOT in a single step de icing only?
No
When is a rwy considered contaminated?
When fluid contaminant is more than 3 mm or when dry contaminant that can be compacted snow, ice and wet ice.
In general, a runway that has RWYCC less than 4 included is contaminated

Return to their station and fasten their seat belts
Be vigilant in the cabin

They’ll prepare the cabin as per normal duties and make a mental note of ABP. No additional PAs will be made
