Q

What happened in the story of the paralysed man?

A

Jesus heals a paralysed man by simply saying; ‘Son, your sins are forgiven’ ‘ I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home’ - shows how powerful Jesus is and that all he needs is his voice and authority. But. Is the bible reliable? Atheists could say that the man could have been lying or it was over exaggerated (eg. He couldn’t move his arms?) also it could’ve only been a bone that needed moving into the right place and when he was lowered down on his mat and hit the ground, the blend slipped back into place?

When I’ll people washed in the water at Lourdes they recovered very quickly afterwards (69 people). But. Was there any other witnesses? Was it the placebo effect?
