A

Form of social influence which minority of people persuades others to adopt their beliefs/attitudes/behaviours.

Leads to internalisation where public + private attitudes = changed.

What is consistency?

A

MI most effective if minority keeps same beliefs over time + between all individuals that form the minority.

Effective = draws attention to minority views/increases interest

Consistent minority = people rethink own views

A

Synchronic: between people in minority group –> all saying same thing

A
