Destination planning minima
Within limits one hour before and after expected time of arrival.
Destination alternate minima
CAT II/III (pilots must be qualified) -> CAT I
CAT I -> Non precision
Non precision -> add 200’ and 1000m
Take-off alternate planning minima
Within limits one hour before and after expected time of arrival. (…)
The ceiling must be taken into account when the only approaches available are non-precision approach approaches.
Any limitations related to one engine inoperative conditions must be taken into account.
When are 2 alternates required?
- Weather reports or forecasts or any combination thereof, for the destination aerodrome indicate, that the weather conditions are below the applicable destination landing minima. (Aerodrome Operating Minima); or
- No meteorological information is available.
ETOPS alternate planning minima
Precision approach: add 200’ / 800m
Non-precision: add 400’ / 1500m
FO takeoff and landing limitations
- Runway not contaminated.
- Braking Action at least GOOD
- 15 kts X-wind
- Takeoff visibility 1000m or more
- Landing: applicable minima for approaches
