what is step migration ?
when a person has a set destination in mind, but the person will stop at different locations along the way.
what is voluntary migration ?
when someone chooses to leave home
what is transhumance migration ?
Migration with livestock (cows, sheep, horses)
what is Involuntary migration ?
People who are terrified and forced to leave their country often by governments.
what is forced migration ?
when people are forced to move due to drought, hunger, flooding, earthquakes and economic circumstances.
what is guest migration ?
A guest migration program allows foreign workers to temporarily reside and work in a host country until a next round of workers is readily available to switch.
What is transnational migration ?
The process settlement across international borders where individuals maintain or build multiple networks of connection to their country of origin while at the same time settling in a new country.
what is chain migration ?
One in which a population migrates (or immigrates) from one location to the next, then continually brings people from their home to this new place.
