AS IT RELATES TO PHYSICAL HEALTH AND FITNESS, IS THE PROCESS OF PLACING PARTICULAR PARTS OF THE BODY INTO A POSITION THAT WILL LENGTHEN, OR ELONGATE, THE MUSCLES AND ASSOCIATED SOFT TISSUES. UPON UNDERTAKING A REGULAR STRETCHING PROGRAM, A NUMBER OF CHANGES BEGIN TO OCCUR WITHIN THE BODY AND SPECIFICALLY WITHIN THE MUSCLES THEMSELVES.
STRETCHING
OTHER TISSUES THAT BEGIN TO ADAPT TO THE STRETCHING PROCESS INCLUDE THE
FASCIA, TENDONS, LIGAMENTS, SKIN AND SCAR TISSUE.
REFER TO STRETCHES THAT ARE PERFORMED WITHOUT MOVEMENT. IN OTHER WORDS, THE INDIVIDUAL GETS INTO THE STRETCH POSITION AND HOLDS THE STRETCH FOR A SPECIFIC AMOUNT OF TIME.
STATIC STRETCHES
REFER TO STRETCHES THAT ARE PERFORMED WITH MOVEMENT. IN OTHER WORDS, THE INDIVIDUAL USES A SWINGING OR BOUNCING MOVEMENT TO EXTEND THEIR RANGE OF MOTION AND FLEXIBILITY.

MEANS YOU ARE OUT OF ALIGNMENT AND PLACING EXCESSIVE STRAIN ON ONE OR MORE PARTS OF YOUR BODY.
BAD POSTURE
MEANS YOU ARE HOLDING YOUR BODY IN A NATURAL WAY, WITH YOUR JOINTS CORRECTLY ALIGNED. THIS POSITION PRODUCES THE LEAST AMOUNT OF STRESS ON THE BODY.

ECTOMORPH
This is when the body has more stored fat, lots of muscle, and gains weight easily. People with this body type are not always overweight. Football lineman and Marilyn Monroe are examples of this body type.
ENDOMORPH
This is when the body is athletic and strong. People with this body type are neither overweight nor underweight. Swimmers and volleyball players are examples of this body type
MESOMORPH
The body tends to look round, and have a wider waist due to fat build up around the abdomen. its more common in men
APPLE
The shoulders are more narrower than the hips. Hip, Thigh, and buttock areas carry more weight than the rest of the body
