Why does diarrhea occur

A

In the cas of a bacterial infection. The bacteria cholera results in high salt levels in the intestines. Water enter the intestine through osmosis to level out the salt/water balance

What is acidosis, what are normal ph levels

A

Acidosis is when too much acid accumulated in bodily tissues.
Lungs and kidneys can’t keep ph level balanced
Normal ph is 7.35-7.45
This is a problem bc kidney disease kidney failure, bone disease, delayed growth
When blood becomes acidic the amount of oxygen rich hemoglobin diminishes
