New kingdoms were made by Germanic invaders in the places they conquered. A warrior named Clovis became king of a Germanic kingdom called the Franks for 30 years. Clovis lead the Franks to Christianity.

Charlemagne was blessed by the church and became empire of Western Roman Empire. Charlemagne’s 48 rule were were dominated by war. He helped spread Christianity by making defeated opponents swear loyalty to the church. He helped pope so pope made him eastern Roman Empire. Charlemagne wanted to learn how to read and write but was too old so he had to have people write for him.

After Charlemagne’s death Europe was weaker so Vikings started to attack along the coasts. Soon vikings grew bolder. In the 800’s Europe struggled the most by Vikings. But England was saved by an Anglo Saxon King who fought the vikings for 3 decades.
