A

People were put in the stocks where their legs and sometimes their hands were locked between planks and wood.

A pillory was like the stocks,but it held the hands and head

A thief could have his hand cut off

A ducking stool is used to punish for women who spread gossip or rumours and they are tied to a chair and lowered into the water again and again

A

An attacker will use a battering ram to pound the gate of the castle.They would also use a catapult to hurl huge boulders or fireballs over the castle.A machine like a giant cross bow called ballista is used to fire large arrows.

Siege towers can be used to get near and scale the walls;Siege towers were like enclosed ladders.Siege ladders were also used to try and climb the walls.

Even sometimes an attacker dug tunnels under the walls hoping they would collapse.
