Q

Frictional Forces

A

This micro traumatic force causes soft tissue inflammation such as tendonitis and bursitis which will lead to a loss of function (pain, weakness)

Q

Tractional Forces

A

These micro traumatic forces cause soft tissue inflammation such as Plantar Fasciitis or boney injury such as Osgood Schlatter’s Disease

Q

Tendonitis

A
  • Inflammation and degenerative changes in the tendon or the musculotendinous junction
  • Result of repeated micro trauma and circulatory disturbances in the tendon
  • Signs and Symptoms
    • Pain and point tenderness over the tendon
    • Local thickening of the tendon

Q

Tenosynovitis

A

Inflammation of the tendon, as well as the fluid-filled sheath around the tendon (called the synovium)
- Symptoms
- Pain, swelling and difficulty moving the particular joint where the tendon inflammation occurs
