Microscopy Flashcards

1
Q

How do you prepare a microscope experiment (Plant Cell)

A
  1. Peel a epidermal cell from a onion
  2. Place cell on a microscope slide
  3. Add a stain (iodine)
  4. Coverslip onto the cell gently

Q

What is the resolution of light microscopes and why does this limit the microscope

A

0.2um or 200nm which means it cannot distinguish two points closer than 200nm

Q

Why are electron microscopes better than light microscopes

A
