Tests for H.Pylori
A
Radiolabelled urea breathing test
- If urease enzyme present due to h.pylori then radio labelled CO2 will be breathed off
- This enzyme makes ammonia and CO2 to neutralise acid in stomach to help h.pylori survive
CLO test
- Biopsy taken and tested with dye which changes colour if H.Pylori present
